Hailey Davidson started this petition to Orange County Board Todd Spitzer and

There needs to be changes made in police-force training and who is allowed to be hired as a policemen. Policemen have important jobs in protecting their community and keeping those around them safe. But as seen on the news & social media, there is a huge problem with how officers are trained to serve their duty.

- police officers must be able to past the PT standard/test MONTHLY.
a cop must be able to subdue a perp on their own, with someone who is combative and resisting arrest. This must be reviewed MONTHLY.

- Police officers should be better trained on how to CALMY handle those who are resisting with arrest as well as they can handle of those who do not resist arrest.

- Police officers must be trained to use their guns, ONLY in the matters of self defense or if the suspect is harming others around them.

- Body cams should be checked and observed after every reported crime.

- Cops should be trained how to handle scenarios in cases where the situation can get chaotic without hurting those who should not be harmed

- Cops should be trained on how to de-escalate the situation without hurting those that should not be harmed.

If there are any other ideas on how police officers should be trained better, please list them as you’re signing this petition. One step forward to solving police brutality is if the Orange County Board and Police Department took action on providing efficient training for their police officers. Polices are hired to protect their community, not to harm the innocent. Make the change by signing & sharing this petition to everyone & especially those who can make the change happened.
