Andrzej Rajfura started this petition to Toronto City Council

Did you know that according to by-law 656-2018 passed by the city of Toronto council on May 24th, 2018 you can no longer apply to build a front yard parking pad if your property is too narrow?

In point 7, subsection C.1. the by-law states that:

"Where the lot width of a property with a mutual driveway is less than 6.5 metres
or where a lot width of a property without a mutual driveway is less than
5.5 metres, a front yard parking pad shall not be permitted."

This by-law is unfair to owners of small properties, especially semi-detached homes. In addition:

- it forces you to apply for a limited number of street parking spots

- if your car is parked a few blocks away, it adds to your commute

- it creates congestion on residential streets

- it creates access problems for service vehicles (i.e. fire trucks, ambulances, snow plows)

Sign the petition to demand that subsection C.1. be removed or the by-law amended in such a way as to allow homeowners to build parking pads in front of their homes.
