The province of Ontario needs to have a registry of animal abusers.

WHEREAS there is currently no legislation in place to register animal abusers within Ontario,

And Whereas animal abusers have a high recivity rate,

And whereas Ontario animal rescue organizations, shelters, and livestock producers and consumers currently have no means to determine if they are communicating or dealing with a convicted animal abuser

We the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: That the Government of Ontario create a province wide animal abuse registry containing the names and conviction details of animal abusers to be posted publicly on The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) website, thereby informing the public of potential dangers to animals and further improving the welfare of animals in this province.
