Application of the Resolution 1509/2006 of the European Assembly of the Council of Europe on the minimum civil and human rights that State has to consider to face irregular immigrants and refugees.
A year after the start of the new Asylum Service, refugees has still to face a terrifying scenario regarding first aid assistance: the absence of integration measures, like adequate reception centers, housing, information in order to promote social inclusion, limit the possibility of refugees and immigrants to enjoy their rights, while creating additional risks of social exclusion, marginalization and unhealthy living conditions.
We, Greek Forum of Refugees and people of Greece and Europe, ask the government to develop an action plan to implement all different aspects of integration, included housing, access to health and social system, employment, education, with particular attention to the initial targeted support immediately after recognition, in according with the EU and International legislation, as well as the standards set by the European Court of Human Rights.
