The Trucker Convoys are encouraging some people to oppose vaccines and masks mandated by governments in Canada. It has been proven that the vast majority filling our hospital beds are the unvaccinated and that masks and vaccinations are effective in slowing the spread of COVID. The more the disease spreads, the longer it will take to lift restrictions. People will suffer, and in some cases die because hospitals are filled with unvaccinated patients and surgeries are being delayed.

The residents of Ottawa and Coutts are loosing their freedom while the Truckers, who claim to be fighting for freedom, are blocking streets, harassing people wearing masks, and defacing public monuments dear to Canadians, such as the Terry Fox monument. Restaurants which were allowed to open now, are closed and loosing money because of the Trucker demonstrations. Their actions are taking away others' freedom and livelihood. 

We want federal, provincial, and territorial governments to continue with the vaccine mandates and not give into the extremist views of the Truckers. The protest only represents a minority of truckers -- 80% of truckers are law abiding and vaccinated.
