I do not want the Acocks Green community to be broken up. I feel that the boundary change will have a detrimental effect on the identity of the residents who live in the area that will be affected by the change.

There are lots of people from all over acocks green including local councillors who are working very hard to improve Acocks Green and make it an even better and more attractive area to live. To move large sections of what is now Acocks Green and that are very close to the centre to another ward could damage the sense of pride that a growing number of people have in their area, as councillors for those residents would not be the same as for the centre. Please don't dismantle this historic and burgeoning area for the sake of bureaucracy.

I've only lived here for 13 years, but even as a newbie, I have appreciated the power of the community to enact change for the better - that community needs to be valued and recognised

I'm signing because I believe: the resultant reduction to one councillor from three would have a serious impact on the resource, availability and diversity of proper representation. Allied to that arbitrary alternation of a well-established local community undermines not only that identity but laso the civic engagement that many of our voluntary bodies such as the Acocks Green Neighbourhood Forum conduct so admirably

This is stupid and very insensitive to the people who live here.

History will change.

If the council want to reduce the number of councillors, then do it, but don't change our boundaries. Restructure your office, but don't be absurd and change Birmingham to suit you! Idiotic idea.

Stop wasting all that money on architects from London and hiring numerous people to plan this.

This is more deep routed than people think, such as voting, they are trying to group the division of areas who vote for certain parties too.

Why have they decided to change Birmingham now? They need to share the real underlining reasons to they changes.

Stop messing around wasting money and time with trying to change our Birmingham and take a closer look at your own pockets and work on the revenue leakage in the government to save money.

Also if they are trying to reduce head count, why are they trying to split Hall Green into Hall Green South and Hall Green North. Utter stupidity and lack of thought process to the heritage of people who live there and also splitting and combing the lower part of Hall Green to Tyseley is complete madness.
