The plaque which commemorates all former Hornblowers of Ripon was removed some years ago in an incomplete state by Ripon City Council. It is now stored behind closed doors in Ripon Town Hall. Following the passing of the last 'sole' Hornblower of Ripon before a team was implemented, Mr George Pickles, it is now time that this plaque, paid for by a member of the public, is returned to its proper place. A sum of money has been offered to finish it off. Tourists and Ripon residents should be able to see and read this plaque for posterity.
