No MASS Housing in Rural Villages

The rural villages and settlements in the Tendring Peninsular are being continually  bombarded with planning applications for housing developments, particularly around the Kirby le Soken, Kirby Cross, Thorpe le Soken area.

Transport - the roads cannot take existing traffic, and train services take longer than in the 1980's.

Healthcare is stretched to the limit.

Schools are generally oversubscribed

Environment - sewage facilities are at breaking point, and the drainage is insufficient, the area also backs onto an area of Special Scientific Interest.

Employment is limited, most of the employment is out of the area involving long journey times.

These developments will affect EVERYONE who already lives in this area.

We need the council to understand that we cannot sustain such development, the Council must listen to the residents and protect their interests, and ensure that the area is developed in a sustainable manner.
