samiksha gupta started this petition to Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal and

to have questions about topics related to attraction, sex are COMMON and NORMAL for teenagers  but when we, Indian adults, shun the discussion and make the topic a taboo, young  teenagers often turn to other dangerous modes to get their answers- Firstly, the endless hole of internet , sites such as google and YouTube that misrepresent the information, provide them unrestricted access to adult content and guide these young kids down a wrong and extremely disturbing and dangerous path. Secondly, they turn to their friends or seniors(someone belonging to their age-group), but most likely they have equally wrong ideas and information about the subject which  leads the kids to develop wrong notions about this topic.

It is very necessary for kids in today's time to get the required knowledge about such sensitive topics in a healthy and safe environment. No mode can be better than an authorized teacher who answers their questions, gives them the necessary information and guides them about what is right and wrong in this context, in a serious environment of study and education.

Readers, I found my 13 year old younger brother, looking for answers related to sex through YouTube videos. This does not mean that he or any other kid his age committed a mistake or that that he has fallen in a bad company. It is impossible and wrong to think that by the time of their teenage years, children will have no information or questions about this topic. SEX AND ATTRACTION ARE PART OF BASIC HUMAN NATURE!

Most successful nations have accepted this notion and have  compulsory sex education curriculum in their schools. Its is time we too need to ensure our kids learn about this topic in a healthy and safe environment from an authorized individual. Sign this petition to make sure your kids, siblings or loved ones learn about this sensitive topic in a right and secure way.
