Stop the sell-off of Reading Gaol, where Oscar Wilde was incarcerated

Reading Gaol is the prison where Oscar Wilde was jailed from 1895 to 1897. That experience led to the creation of the world-renowned plea for tolerance by Oscar Wilde that is The Ballad of Reading Gaol. Now Reading Gaol is about to be sold to the highest bidder, meaning that it may be transformed into an anonymous estate.

We the undersigned want to see it preserved, open to the public and enhanced for the value that this heritage site represents.
