• July 9th I received a called from 3 red onion prisoners saying that they were not served their trays and denied the right to mask during a pandemic. I called and the co told me that it was a mix up in the kitchen and they were sending their trays out as we speak. Five minutes later the prisoners call me back and informed me that the co was in fact lying and they still hadn't ate. I called back, this time demanding to speak to someone higher up. As soon as I talk to the sergeant and explained the situation and how they needed to eat and their mask, the sergeant begin to be yell and scream at me and said he didn't have to really explain anything to me. I told him how unprofessional I felt like they were and until they do what was right I was going to continue to call and go over their head too, and told him to have a nice day!!

August 31, 2021 I received another call again more than one prisoner. Saying they hadn't been fed in days, wasn't receiving the proper medical attention and they weren't really letting them use the phones. I told him give me a minute let me get a pen and paper to document it, this call though bothered me a little more because he was pleading with me to hurry up and call because they were reallly hungry!!!

August 31st made the 6th called I have had about prisoners being starved or severely mistreated in less than 6 months time. Alot of prisoners and families don't want to speak up because of fear of retaliation in a system that swears there is no such thing!!!! 

This petition is to have Red Onion State Prison looked into for mistreatment of prisoners. And im sure it's way more prisons than just this one. But this is the start!!!!!
