Be the one to achieve Zero Hunger
Why this petition matters

"The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread." A touching quote by Mother Teresa. When I see a person lying on the road starving for food and water, I don't just see the person, I see a human being, I feel a soul, I feel the feelings, I feel the sadness, what's your perspective? What happens if you are in the place of them? Can you bear that hunger? Can you starve for these many hours and days? Over 25,000 people worldwide lose their lives every day as a result of hunger. Estimated 1 of every 9 people goes bed hungry daily. We are very lucky to have a gift from God to consume nutritious food but, can we distribute that happiness to people in need of it? Can we contribute a little bit? Starvation can lead to being unhygienic and being unhygienic can lead to different viruses and diseases. When we talk about diseases, the major disease now going on Coronavirus, this virus is making people die. There are many organization working to reduce starvation and hunger in rural areas as well as urban areas. Also, Food Insecurity is leading a lot of starvation across the globe. Adding to it, understanding the concept of the nutrition transition is helpful when assessing urban food security. The nutrition transition describes a global trend of diet modification in terms of all types of food consumed, physical activity, health, and nutrition. Diet changes usually attributed to, industrialization, globalization, urbanization, and the rural to Urban lifestyle migration, which of these involves diminished activity and changes in that due to the prevalence of processed food choices offered in cities, generally at lower prices. A shift from a Rural environment where migrants once grew and prepared food for meals to Urban environments where the availability of expensive, processed food of nutrition value obviates that activity, combined with the traditionally most sedentary lifestyle of the Urban population, will lead to continued increases in obesity rates. Now talking about the major cause that is "URBANIZATION", this term means the population shift from rural areas to urban areas, the decrease in the proportion of people living in rural areas, and the ways in which each society adapts to this change. The causes of Urbanization are natural increase in the population and rural to urban migration. People migrate to towns and cities in hope of gaining a better standard of living. They are influenced by pull factors that attract them to urban life, and push factors that make them dissatisfied with rural living. This impacts the food and resources if the urban area get's over populated. Few solutions for reducing world hunger are Food Donations, Urban Farming, Sustainable Farming, Government Intervention, Access To Credit and Access To Education. If we follow or try to do these things we can reduce world hunger. To conclude, "If hunger is not a problem, then eating is not the solution."
Thank You!!!
