Reagan McGill started this petition

My name is Reagan, and I am 11 years old. I was at the grocery store with my mom, and we were looking at the laundry detergent and it was $17.99 for just a little 50 pack of pouches. She told me they used to cost $7.99 so, I knew that was a problem. The prices have gone up so much how can we afford to pay prices like this? If groceries cost this much more, how can we pay our bills and things?? We have to eat. We aren't aliens or something! People have been losing jobs too. Some people don't make as much money as our family. I am worried the cost to survive is too high for a lot of people. It would be like the great depression. I talked to my dad, and he explained how fixing grocery and gas costs was not very easy. So, I thought maybe the government could help. I think a tax holiday would be the perfect thing for them to do. They have the power to do it unlike the articles of confederation. If they took a break from the income tax and gas tax for a little while it would give people more money for food and gas. Wouldn't that be so much better?
