Brown University claims to be an institution that cares about sustainability, human rights, and the environment, and it has taken several commendable steps in those directions. We, the undersigned, declare that those steps are not enough and that Brown University must do more to reflect its mission.

We, the undersigned, ask that Brown University pass a Resolution to:

1. Divest from all products known to be produced with slavery, child labor, exploitative labor, and environmentally irresponsible practices
2. Buy Fair Trade, Fair Food Certified, and local products that adhere to fair labor practices
3. Commit to greater transparency regarding food purchasing decisions and food origins
4. Act on information presented by Brown Fair Food Campaign and associated groups regarding the ethics of food production
5. Create a committee composed of students, dining, and other interested parties to ensure progress towards these goals
