the person of the ear is according to google a person who  "for better or for worse... has done the most to influence the events of the year". this means the person who has done the most good should win the award but this ear it is not the case.

first we should go over the winner, greta thunberg's, accomplishments. she first gained attention at fifteen when she spent her schooldays outside the Spanish Parliament and held up a sign that said " school strike for climate change". she inspired other communities in Sweden to do the same and soon it was a huge movement across the world and helped push climate change. 

now lets look at mr.beast's accomplishments. in his videos Mr. beast has given up 2,610,000 in videos alone not to mention helping team trees reaching their goal of 20,000,000 million dollars. he also gave away around 10,000 presents to kids and families in need who couldn't afford presents. it is our choice but i believe we should vote for the real person of the year.
