Dear ministers. I am signing this petition because currently Australia is destroying the country at an astonishing rate. We are allowing the oceans to be overfished, polluted and even the amazing Great Barrier Reef isn't safe. On land, we are allowing CSG mining everywhere. Australia already has a problem with methane due to our large cattle numbers, but CSG mines are also major causes of methane pollution. And the fact that 60% of the wells leak... well what can I say? Then there is the Ranger uranium mine, dumping a million litres of sludge. Gentlemen, what your destroying isn't worth the price your receiving. And Mr Hunt, you are doing an appalling job considering what your title is. Minister for the environment? You are, in mine (and many others) opinion an eco terrorist. Please begin putting Australia ahead of your own portfolios and bank accounts.

Kakadu is a unique landscape and home to Australia's treasured flora and fauna… no mine belongs here!

Mining uranium in Kakadu should never have been allowed to start with. Remember when it was ALP policy not to allow uranium mining in Australia? After the Fukushima disaster Australia should be seriously rethinking its uranium policy.

Astounded that mining was even allowed so close to a Heritage Listed area to start with! Once you have destroyed that pristine wilderness and her people, that is it. GET MINING OUT OF KAKADU NOW!
