It’s time to stop pretending that the state of Virginia knows what’s best for itself. We as a nation need to come together to help this wrong be righted.

The colony of Virginia was founded in 1607 by those brits across the pond. From its birth the people were called “virgins” or “born again virgins” in reference to the opportunities of the new world.
With a future to build the virgins would build their colony to be one of the more prosperous out of the original 13. Before the revolutionary war many meetings of the founding fathers of the United States would meet in virgin homes, virgin courts, and many other virgin buildings.

Fast forward to the civil war and the virgins declare for the confederacy. In doing so, whored themselves for another country and popping any sort of cherry picking they had in the Union they helped establish. To separate themselves from the union, the state of Virginia renamed their citizens Virginians; desecrating the pride and history of a once great state.

The name Virginians stuck after the end of the civil war as a means to fight against a country the state was forced to rejoin. Spitting in the face of history. This is why we must get the governor, Ralph Northam, to change the name of the citizens of Virginia back to virgins. So that the state may regain some of the glory it once had and to go to a more respectful name that wasn’t loaded against minorities. Thank you.
