Cease & desist production the Blackfeather Forest video game, based on the Missing & Murdered Women of HWY16 in Canada.

There is no way that a video game can be respectfully made about the 300+ First Nations, Inuit and Metis women who have gone missing along Hwy 16 in Canada. To even consider such appropriate is the height of insensitivity and a demonstration of the creator's complete lack of social appropriateness.
Allegedly family and friends of the victims were not consulted, nor have they given their support, in any way, to this game. Creating such a game is the height of disrespect and an example of appropriation of cultural symbols and beliefs.
Using these personal tragedies for profit, publicity or entertainment is unnaceptable. Many of the women and girls who have gone missing were abducted, raped, murdered. Many families faced disdain from the communities around them and disrespect from law enforcement. Most have no idea what happened to their loved ones. Some families have lost more than one loved one.
Creating a game based on their suffering, their misery, which continues to this day is cruel, insensitive and morally reprehensible.
We ask that you also destroy all graphics and programming of this game from future use and/or sale and that you issue a public apology, in Canada, to the families and communities of the hundreds of women and girls who have gone missing and/or been murdered along Highway 16. This is a national tragedy, not subject matter for a game.
