Dear Tim Cook,

Since Apple has always been at the forefront of change, I want to bring an important issue to your attention.

I frequently see men pretending to take “selfies” in public places, when in fact they are taking photos, or a video, of the person sitting or standing opposite. Most frequently, this is a young female (or parts of her body). The same goes in all public places, cafés, beaches, swimming pools, libraries, etc.

These individuals are taking photos, or videos, without the women’s consent, respecting neither their image rights nor their privacy. I have seen individuals taking pictures of children using the same method. I do not like to imagine why anyone would want to take photos of someone else’s child.

In short, this double camera technique has become a stalker’s device, whenever it is used while the owner of the phone is pretending to take a selfie.

We need a flashing red light on the IPhone that shows when someone is taking a picture of us and not a selfie.

Please help us fight stalking and invasive behavior.

Yours expectantly,
