This dangerous trend has gone on for too long… and surely you’ve noticed it. “Extreme Cleaning” videos which depict individuals pouring dangerous concoctions of cleaner into toilet bowls, sinks, etc. By the end of this petition, I hope you become as passionate and aggravated as I am.
There are so many things wrong with these videos but let’s break them down into simple terms.

Firstly, it’s dangerous to mix chemical cleaners together. Combining cleaners for an “aesthetically” pleasing video is not only pointless because it renders the cleaners useless, but they create toxic fumes. These vapors have extremely hazardous effects on an individuals health, which could cause life-threatening reactions. 

Furthermore, it’s extremely bad for the environment and local water systems. These chemicals are then flushed down the toilets and put into the areas local water & oceans. 
We must urge Tik Tok, Snapchat, and other social media outlets to ban these new “overload cleaning trend”. 

Obviously, there is no way to stop an individual from cleaning their home a certain way, but we can certainly ban these types of videos to discourage others from copying for views. Without banning these videos, there will continue to be an influx of “satisfying deep cleaning” videos. That’s why we must urge these companies to ban the production and sharing of these videos.
