Lansing needs an urban grocery store to support its downtown residents

This petition had 545 supporters

It's no secret that I love Lansing. I'm proud to say that I live and work downtown. I believe in this community so much I'm willing to work for change I would like to see, but I need your help.  They say it takes a village, I say it takes a community.

Wouldn’t you love a more vibrant, invigorated downtown Lansing with more shopping and bustling residents? Why don't we have an urban grocery store? We need other retailers. It's time to ask the question, why not Lansing? Other areas are seeing amazing downtown turnarounds. We can start a movement by showing retailers we are anxious and ready for them to open right here, right now. We can build the community that benefits our economy, celebrates our diversity and inspires new and exciting growth.

Join me in asking major retailers to bring urban shopping downtown. Growth is vital to our region's success. Do you support an urban grocery store, among other components of a viable community? Please sign and we'll share our vision for our community.
