GOVERNMENT OF SASKATCHEWAN FAILING THEIR PEOPLE! TAKE ACTION

It's been a long road road for Jessica Bailey (JB.) She was diagnosed with kidney disease out of the blue three years ago. Just a few months after her diagnosis she had to leave her career as a power engineer, and focus on her health. Her kidney function was deteriorating rapidly, and many other health complications and hospital stays followed. Today, her doctors say she has less than 1 % kidney function remaining. JB spends 10 hours a day on dialysis, trying her very best to stay healthy. The only thing that will save her life is a kidney transplant.
THE DEVASTATING NEWS: JB had a live donor - We were all ecstatic and relieved to hear this amazing news. That was about a year ago. The months since had been busy as both JB and Disqualified match had to pass numerous health tests in preparation for the transplant.
After several delays they were both given green lights by their surgeons; Jason on August 11th, and JB on September 15th. She was told it was hopeful that she would receive a phone call with the news of her surgery date on September 23rd. She was so excited her difficult journey was changing direction and things were finally looking up. Everybody was waiting by their phones for the news.
Instead, on September 23rd the Province of Saskatchewan announced that its organ donor program was being suspended. Due to an overwhelming number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital, the transplant staff had been transferred where they were needed; to the ICU.
October 8th 2021: Jessica Baileys chance of survival just gets further and further away! The donor that had been approved, has been disqualified due to traces of kidney stones! My aunty desperately needs an o+ Kidney! Please please get tested if you’re willing! This could save her life!!
As you can imagine, the news was devastating. To be told one moment your life was going to be saved, and suddenly have that taken away from you again has caused immense emotional and mental strain for JB.
The purpose of this petition is to help support JB and spread the word, so she and other people who need it can receive the help she deserves! Hopefully this will open the Government of Saskatchewan’s eyes, so they can do what’s right for anyone who needs a surgery or transplant!
Jessica Bailey has since stated, that she has tried to keep in touch with the Government of Saskatchewan, but that she hasn’t heard from the province in weeks about whether she would get her surgery or not.
Jessica Bailey again is going through rough times. A day surgery turned into her needing 6 units of blood... She needs the Government of Saskatchewan to RESUME SURGERIES!
PEOPLE ARE DYING!! DO THE RIGHT THING!
