This 18 Year Old Kicked A Goose To Death And Laughed With Friends As He Watched It Twitch And Die

This occurred in Attleboro, MA. The story was posted on various news channel and newspaper websites. An 18 year old man kicked a goose to death, and watched the animal die along with two under-aged friends (who did not actually physically kill the animal, the 18 year old killed the animal). The following is the story from WPRI Channel 12, Rhode Island:

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) - An 18-year-old Attleboro man is facing animal cruelty charges for allegedly throwing something at a goose and then laughing as he and two friends watched it twitch on the ground before dying. "He actually threw something, striking and killing it," says Attleboro police chief James Keane. Shawn Timas pleaded not guilty on Monday to animal cruelty, being a disorderly person, giving police a false name and obstruction of justice for the alleged incident on Sunday. He remains behind bars at this time. "I don't know what goes through someone's mind when they kill an animal and laugh as it dies. I can't rationalize it," Keane went on to say. Police say Timas admitted to kicking the goose, but only in self-defense after the bird bit him. Police say he had no visible marks on his leg. "His statement was he was attacked by the goose. That was not true," said Lt. Keane. His lawyer asked that he be released on personal recognizance because he has been accepted to the University of Rhode Island. Eyewitness News went to his Brookhaven home where police say Timas lives with his mother. No one answered the door.

WE RESENT UNITED STATES FEDERAL AND/OR STATE TAX DOLLARS GOING TO BETTER THE LIFE OF THIS INDIVIDUAL WHO TOOK A LIFE.  WE URGE YOU TO DENY HIS ADMISSION AT ANY TIME THAT HE REQUESTS ADMISSION, OR TO REVOKE HIS ACCEPTANCE AS APPLICABLE,  BASED UPON HIS SENSELESS CRIMINAL ACT OF TORTURE AND KILLING OF AN INNOCENT ANIMAL.  MAINTAIN YOUR REPUTATION AS AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING, WHICH INCLUDES HIGH MORAL AND ETHICAL PRINCIPLES, BY REFUSING TO ALLOW INTO YOUR STUDENT POPULATION, A KILLER.

This young man has been accepted to study at University of Rhode Island, a state and federally funded college per his attorney. If you pay FEDERAL or Rhode Island STATE taxes, YOU are funding the education of an animal killer and you are CONDONING the killing of innocent animals if you do not speak up and voice your opposition to the behavior of this individual. Your voice could have a major impact in the future of how those who abuse and kill innocent animals are treated. The laws need to be tougher, for punishment of crimes against animals. State and federal tax dollars SHOULD NOT be used to better the life of any individual who TAKES A LIFE. Please help me make a difference. This man's inhumane act made a difference in the life of an innocent animal. It ENDED that life.

WE URGE THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND TO DENY ADMISSION TO SHAWN TIMAS AT ANY TIME HE REQUESTS ADMISSION, OR IN THE EVENT THAT HE IS ALREADY ADMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY, WE REQUEST THAT HIS ACCEPTANCE BE REVOKED,  BASED UPON HIS CRIMINAL ACT OF THE TORTURE AND KILLING OF AN INNOCENT ANIMAL.
