Take the #TTpledge in support of concussion awareness.
TAKE THE #TTpledge – JOIN THE MOVEMENT!
- I PLEDGE to be EDUCATED
on the signs and symptoms of concussions.
- I PLEDGE to be HONEST
with my coaches, teachers, parents and teammates.
- I PLEDGE to be SUPPORTIVE
of anyone who gets a concussion.
Brain injuries are not something to be taken lightly – they are not something to simply ignore, “shake off” or just play through. We must hold our team members, administrators, referees, coaches, parents, leaders and ourselves accountable in observing the established concussion protocol for treating head injuries, and reinforce a conservative approach to return to play that contributes to successful outcomes for all participants. The long-term safety and well-being of our student-athletes depends on it.
WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
::THINKTAYLOR/MIAA Concussion Awareness Week 2016
in partnership with Massachusetts Concussion Management Coalition & Concussion Legacy Foundation::
We only have one brain and it needs to last a lifetime. This September 12-16, is ThinkTaylor/MIAA Concussion Awareness Week. All 86,000 MIAA student athletes are taking part in the week by wearing ThinkTaylor orange wristbands during their games, attaching concussion education reminders to their athletic bags and taking the #TTpledge with their team. Help us keep the brains and futures of the youth of Massachusetts safe by taking the #TTpledge with us.
We hope that when you see the number of students, athletic directors, parents, school nurses, athletic trainers and officials that take the #TTpledge, you will consider making an official "ThinkTaylor Concussion Awareness Week" in Massachusetts next year.
We all took the #TTpledge. Now it's your turn!
