My brother in law died from the same thing at just 33 years old and it was also totally missed by nurses and doctors on AandE.

I'm signing and sharing as my mum died almost 7 years ago, she was 47 years old and after falling ill at work collapsing, she was taken by ambulance to the supposedly ”top” hospital in the capital of wales! They kept doing X-rays put her in the wrong triage category and by time they did an ultrasound 6 hours after she first arrived the rupture happened and went into cardiac arrest and we lost her and never even got to say goodbye! She didn't even stand a chance to battle for her life just lay there bleeding to death internally she complained of being cold on one side of the body they gave her more blankets!!! We are all human doctors included mistakes happen but more frequent education for doctors and triage nurses etc could help prevent this

Despite having the classic symptoms, A&E failed to diagnose my Aortic Dissection in the ascending aorta and aortic arch - until 33 hoursz later when it dissected again, down into the abdomen.
