Theresa May should resign following a disastrous election and cuts to police. No DUP deal!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
At a time when we have increasingly found ourselves the victims of heinous crimes; a time when more than ever we need our heroic police, we are suffering the tragic consequences of such cuts.
There are 20,000 fewer police now than there were in 2010.
"That’s fewer eyes and ears on the street; fewer bobbies building relationships, community confidence and critically creating that visible reassurance and deterrence that is key at times like this."
Peter Kirkham - a former senior officer with the Met Police - admits "the police service is in crisis as a result of the cuts".
Prime Minister May claims there are more armed police on the streets. Kirkham reveals otherwise, claiming the government is lying. He says there have been none of the extra police officers; just existing officers who have had their working hours stretched or taken from other areas.
And who is to blame for these cuts I hear you ask?
As Home Secretary, Theresa May imposed severe cuts to the police service, cuts which when police campaigned against - crying enough is enough - she mocked them for "crying wolf".
Jeremy Corbyn has called on Theresa May to resign over her responsibility for these cuts.
We can join him in that call. Or just vote her out.
