We demand a General Election
This petition had 9 supporters
Despite previously affirming that she would not, Theresa May organised a 'snap' General Election with the hopes of increasing her majority, undermining the Labour Party and showcasing the 'strength and stability' of her Conservative Government. She has failed epically. Unable to achieve a majority, a 'hung parliament' was declared and the Conservatives have sought to form a coalition with the Democratic Unionist Party; a far-right, openly discriminatory group founded by Northern Irish terrorists which received a mere 292,316 votes, solely in Northern Irish constituencies.
This government does not represent the British public. Theresa May and the Conservative Party, through their irrefutable treachery, underhandedness and falsehoods, have shown themselves to be unfit to run this country.
By signing this petition, you are calling upon the House of Commons to declare a 'vote of no confidence' and demand that another General Election be held within the year to allow the chance of a democratically-elected, representative, majority Government to be chosen.
