Theresa May force the defaulting Banks to initiate PPI payback to their customers

The PPI scandal is a disgrace. It's fraught with all kinds of financial malpractices. It is estimated that there could be up to £50 billion pounds owed to customers by the banks. The banks have set aside only £22 billion to be paid back. Of the £22 billion set side by the banks, £10 billion is yet to be claimed. In the mean time the government has set a deadline for these claims and repayments. Some people have lost their jobs, been liquated, declared bankrupt and even lost their marriages as a result of these malpractices.
In the interest of justice and fairness, the banks should be made to initiate contact with those owed PPIs and proactively seek to payback all moneys owed from PPI malpractices. After all, if the shoe was on the other foot , you can be sure the banks would have sent bailiffs, repossessed people's homes etc etc.
Please sign this petition and let us force the government to legislate that banks initiate PPI payback instead of all these cowboy claim companies making money on the back of what is rightfully other people's money owed by the banks.
