STOP Stripping the Arts Out of Our School Curriculums.

Since the introduction of the latest incarnation of the National Curriculum more and more schools are feeling pressured to focus fully on English, Maths and Science. This is now causing a detrimental effect on arts subjects with many upper schools cancelling GCSE subjects such as art, dance, music.
This is leaving a whole generation of teenagers who want to study the arts bereft and yet huge areas of our economy rely on the arts: Cinema, Advertising, Gaming Industry, Theatre.
If our schools wipe away creative subjects due to pressure from government to succeed in a tight minority of subjects the UK as a whole will suffer as a result . BRING BACK CREATIVITY TO UK SCHOOLS, Make the ARTS as important as STEM.
