So many people, including young girls and boys are influenced by the media, clothing websites and various other platforms showing models with “the perfect body” there appear to be more companies using non plus size models marketing plus size clothing giving, impressionable/vulnerable men, women and children the impression that they are plus size, in some people’s eyes, this means over weight.

There are more and more people being diagnosed with eating disorders, including body dismorphia, anorexia nervosa and bulimia to name a few.

This petition is created in the hope that the rules surrounding the marketing of plus size clothing can be changed so that companies  have to use actual “plus size” models for marketing plus size clothing.
