TIME TO STOP THE ABUSE OF OUR PRIVILEGES - Reduce Pension Age back down to 65

This petition had 201 supporters

Millions of British workers will be forced to work an extra year as the state pension age is increased from 67 to 68, the Work and Pensions Secretary has announced. David Gauke said the pension age will rise to 68 over two years from 2037, seven years earlier than planned.

The Government says it is under mounting pressure to help tackle the expected rise in the cost of pensions and the growing number of non-workers who will need to be supported by working people.

Most people who claim State Pensions have paid National Insurance all their working lives towards their State Pension. So why is it successive Governments make out that those of pensionable age are being supported by working people?

We have already paid for the privilege of receiving a pension it's just Government has used this money elsewhere.
