Provide more support and aftercare for those that miscarry
This petition had 2,215 supporters
Miscarriage is a traumatic, upsetting and unpleasant experience that no one should suffer alone. It is about time that women are offered follow up appointments, after care appointments and support from professionals rather than just being counted as another statistic and having to deal with it themselves.
4 in 10 suffer from PTSD due to miscarriage. This could be prevented. Noone should suffer in silence.
I have suffered with 2 miscarriages this year within 4 months. I am fortunate enough to have a good support network of friends and family but have had no support from any health care professional after being discharged from hospital. My GP told me it was just one of them things.
This needs to change....
