Mrs May should negotiate a grand coalition with Labour
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
If Mrs May really had the national interest at heart, she would open negotiations with the Labour Party about forming a coalition government. A grand coalition would provide the strong and stable government she wants, one not beholden to the demands of small parties such as the DUP, but one which would more closely reflect the results of the election by finding common ground between the two largest parties. Of course, it would entail compromises, but that is the nature of coalitions. It would last for the five years necessary to conduct Brexit negotiations.
This is not rocket science. It has been done before, notably in Germany, which does not seem to have suffered from the arrangement.
