Increase numbers in the Home Services (Fire - Ambulance - Police - Doctors and Nurses)

It has been made clear that at present the UK Government does not want to spend any more of its budget to protect the ever decreasing numbers in our Home Services (Fire - Ambulance - Police). As an ex Detective with the Metropolitan Police I have seen only the issues effecting Police Officers and in my eyes the situation is dire. Lack of retention and the ability to employ is a main feature and that is why the Police authorities are introducing 'wacky and fanciful' ideas; such as 'Special's' (Voluntary Police) and Community Officers becoming Crime Scene Specialists, or such idiotic thoughts as to direct entry from members of the public into becoming Detectives. This is all down to lack of funding. I dare say the same is occurring in the other services of which I include NHS Doctors and Nurses and leading towards Care in the Community.
Now there is no point in making demands when there isn't any money (allegedly), therefore I find myself actually asking for an increase in taxation across the board for the sole purpose of having that money spent on those I have mentioned. Personally I would rather feel safe where I live and not worry about going out into a town where Police numbers are lacking and I want someone there to save me if I fall ill.
And yes we all know more officers are being deployed on Anti-Terrorist duties, but where do they come from, well they come from our streets.
