Implement a law that ensures student tuition fees are partially refunded after strikes

Lecturers across 61 UK universities have recently participated in industrial strike action over pension disputes.

There is currently no law in place to ensure that students are reimbursed for the lectures that they miss due to industrial action.

Although tuition fees go towards a variety of resources such as libraries and work spaces, it is clear that contact hours are one of the most important aspects of university. Therefore, when lectures and seminars are affected due to strike action, there should be regulations in place to ensure that students are partially reimbursed.

***This petition has NOT been created to challenge industrial action. Strikes can be benefical and help influence positive change. This petition simply aims to ensure that if/when future action takes place, students will be fairly reimbursed.***
