Give the 2 million disenfranchised young people a vote on Brexit
0 have signed. Let’s get to 15,000!
2 million young people will have come of voting age between 23 June 2016 and 29 March 2019.
- The decision to leave the EU will affect the whole of our adult lives but we have had no say in that decision.
- This campaign calls for a referendum specifically for this group. It's not a “second” referendum because we have never had the chance to vote in the “first” one. The campaign is not politically aligned. We are not calling for the UK to stay or leave. We are not linked to any political party. We simply want our voices heard too.
- Of course, at every general election, there is a cohort who turn 18 the next day and who are denied the opportunity to influence the nature of the Government for that parliament. But within 4 or 5 years, that position is always rectified. Their vote the next time round can contribute to a complete change in Government and in its policies. On this one issue, that is not true.
- So join us and make sure that the only generation whose whole lives will be affected also get a vote!
