Domestic abusers and stalkers should be forced to sign a national register like sex offenders. I am a survivor of domestic violence and mental abuse. 

My ex boyfriend had 21 accounts of domestic violence made against him before I met him. I only found this out through Clare’s law after he had bullied me taunted me broke my ribs and nearly killed me. For over a year I was with him, I couldn’t get away. 

There are too many people that are unaware of people’s pasts if they are capable and there record shows this why let the victims become victims. I would hate for someone to go through what I want through and it’s awful to know 1.9million people experienced domestic violence last year. You need to know what your getting into. No one is safe anymore. I believe that if this register was to be put in place the world will be a better place for it. I also think it would change the behaviour of abusers letting them think twice about their behaviour and the impact it has on their victims
