Cut the Foreign Aid budget to 0.2% of GDP and used the saved money to fund the NHS
0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!
The Government currently spends 0.7% GDP on Foreign Aid. This means it will spend over £13bn of tax payers money on projects which could be better spent at home. By 2020 this figure will have risen to almost £16bn. We believe the Government should abolish the 0.7% GDP target for Foreign Aid.
A reduction to 0.2% of foreign aid would free up billions of pounds which could be spent on the British people.
Charity starts at home.
Underfunding of the health service could lead to the deaths of 30,000 people a year between now and 2020 the Express reported.
Spending restraints were associated with 45,368 excess deaths between 2010 and 2014.
Tens of thousands of people could be saved if we just divert more money to our own.
