Ban positive discrimination

There is nothing "positive" in "positive discrimination". Generalisations based on race exclude more subtle disadvantages, such as class or mental wellbeing. For example, white, working class boys are the group least likely to go to university. Those with severe mental illnesses are the group least likely to be in employment. In her 2017 manifesto, PM Theresa May promised to build the "great meritocracy". If this is to be achieved, positive discrimination must be banned in all spheres of life, but particularly for young people whose lost opportunities may affect them for life. Instead of barring people from opportunities due purely to their race, we encourage the government to widen them to all and ensure success is achieved solely through personal merit.
