Unless a driver over 70 can pass a test, proving they can competently keep up with the flow of traffic, and without hindering the progress of other road users, they should be banned from driving during the busiest hours of the day.

Without completing the aforementioned test, they should be unable to use the road between 07:00 and 10:00, with a further restriction put in place between the hours of 16:00 and 18:00.

I further propose a mandatory '70' sticker be placed on both the front and rear of the vehicle to warn other drivers of a potential hazard. A reasonable suggestion, given agricultural vehicles have to use orange warning lights, and often travel many times faster than some older motorists.
