Abolishment of the TV Licence in the UK

The revealing of the BBC rich list in todays press highlights what an archaic organisation the BBC is. It infuriates me that I am legally bound to pay into a self proclaimed 'Fair and Balanced' organisation that does not practice what it preaches, if we take the fact that there is growing discontent over the contrast between the pay of men and women.
The cost of a TV licence is £147 per year per household. The TV license is an archaic tax from the analogue era. In a modern, digital, subscription economy, British people should and deserve to have a choice on the services they pay for!
It is time that there was a serious review of how the BBC is funded. I believe the BBC should subsidise themselves by advertising like all other TV Channels and networks and that the people of Britain have the right to opt in or out of having BBC Channels on their devices.
