Robotussin cough syrup banned from being sold over counter

Robotussin dry cough syrup contains a dangerous and addictive drug called Dextremethorphan or DXM. This drug is very harmful when taken in high doses as it causes hallucinations and brain damage. The effects of this drug is well documented. Youths as young as 10 are abusing this drug as it is readily available over the counter of every pharmacy in Australia. It is highly addictive. Youths are able to buy several bottles of cough syrup at time . The makers of this drug are a well known drug company called Pfizer. Personal contact has been made with this company and they have denied any knowledge of abuse of this drug. I urge the Therapeutic Goods Administration TGA to further research the use of this drug and to regulate it's use.
