The former grounds of the American Shakespeare Festival Theatre in Stratford, CT could soon house the world’s only Timber Frame Re-creation of Shakespeare’s 1614 Globe Theatre. This is the vision for the American Globe Center, which also includes the Stratford Playhouse - a Modern Performing Arts & Education Center and Multi-function/Event Space.
The American Globe Center will be a true destination for the region, the nation, and the world - presenting engaging, entertainment-guaranteed classical theatre, alongside the best of today’s hits, to tens of thousands of visitors annually.
Our vision is led by Jim Warren and Tom Edmond Evans, established theatre and business professionals with a proven track record of funding and building commercially successful Shakespeare re-creation theatres. The AGC is reinventing the repertory theatre experience - providing excellence in entertainment, education, inclusion, and economic development.
This petition will be brought to our local leaders to demonstrate the passion for Shakespeare of theatre lovers from around the country and around the world.
