Nowadays the youth, including teens like me are taught to be Patriotic in the span of our academic lives as students. Patriotism is taught at a young age, we can observe a pupil in kindergarten be taught things such as, a tamaraw is the national animal, takraw is the national game, but what?

Is it really enough to know, that a tamaraw is the national animal, or a rafflesia is the largest flower in the world,  where in fact these are only two of the many flora and fauna in the Philippines that are drawing closely to extinction. And how about culture?, we learn about different festivities in Bicol, specifically the Tinagba Festival held in Iriga city celebrating good harvest and the beauty of colors. Back then we used to have live carabaos lifting carts, now we have floats. Point being we are loosing our roots, we know in our hearts that we are Bicolanos and love spicy foods and many more things, but slowly our culture is eaten away by modernism and technology, I used to remember back in 3rd grade, playing sepak takraw and turubigan. Now I see 3rd graders holding Ipods and Cellphones playing Duterte fighting crime like it's some kind of joke.

Help protect and preserve our culture.deliberate and well-designed methodologies to maintain cultural heritage from the past for the benefit of the present and future generations.
