Line 3 is a pipeline proposed to bring a million barrels of tar sand from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin. However, this pipeline will travel under indigenous land without permission. This is their land and we don't have any rights to build this. Although the pipeline is almost finished, we still have a chance to stop them from starting the tars travel. There are better and more sustainable ways to get the tar from one place to another and this is not one of them. It will greatly impact the environment as it produces more emissions than 50 coal mines, causing irreversible damage to our planet. This will effect America the most greatly, but not just America will get the air pollution coming from the pipeline. The air will quickly start to harm other countries and continents so we must do something to stop it. The water in many rivers and lakes around Line 3 are also getting drained, causing wildlife to die and the eco-system is failing. The loss of trees will prevent the only type of air purifier we have in this area. As you can see, it is vital that we stop the use of Line 3 and help return the area to its natural state.
