We are demanding a temporary remote option for Florida students now.

With the current severe rise in transmission rates in our communities we do need additional and immediate mitigation strategies such as temporary remote learning in Florida to ensure the health and safety of all students and teachers.

A temporary remote option would be a win-win for all students, parents, teachers, and schools. It will ensure that students remain connected with their schools, programs, teachers, and classmates while providing for better social distancing within the classrooms. The Remote option will help keep everyone safe without hindering the academics of those students who have demonstated success with virtual attendance in the prior year where this was offered and funded.

Ultimately, the temporary Remote option will help significantly reduce the spread of Covid in our schools and throughout our community.
