Mr. President, Mr. Vice President,
Thousands of our neighbors in NYC are in danger and need immediate medical attention as they are facing hypothermia and death. The police, fire department, and Red Cross are at their capacity. I ask for more relief to be sent now. We are still in serious jeopardy, especially those in public housing and the elderly. People are without heat, hot food and shelter. There is a tremendous effort by volunteers that it is helping but would better cope with these extreme conditions with more federal support. Coordination and leadership by our citizens, our local and state governments appears limited as they are still overwhelmed. No blame offered in this difficult situation but rather a plee to help improve it. We need more materials and coordination of materials. There are many folks of all ages that still cannot leave for various reasons, many medical and logistical. FEMA is not yet comprehensive enough nor is it fast enough. Those less fortunate need buses, temporary shelters, tents, generators, GAS, heat, kitchens and hot food just to start. We need this yesterday, today and tomorrow. We need your help and direction Mr. President. Please step in and help administrate aid directly to us.
