Eddie Mcintosh started this petition to The Welsh Assembly and

Powys county council are one of the few remaining councils in the UK to still prohibit public filming of its cabinet meetings and parish council meetings.

Not so commonly known but Powys county council is actually a registered corporation accountable to its shareholders, stakeholders and pension plans.

However, according to its own guidelines and obligations under its corporate governance they profess - "openness  inclusivity, integrity, and accountability" .

Therefore, are we not entitled to transparency? Why does Powys refuse to follow the rest of the UK and allowing public to record and film their dealings?

We the undersigned demand that Powys County Council allow us - the people, to film and record its public neetings, in line with the rest of the UK.
