Stop Overworking Day Custodial and Return Third Shift Restorative to the Proud 3rd Shift

Stop Overworking Day Custodial and Return Third Shift Restorative to the Proud 3rd Shift
Throughout the pandemic, the proud Day Custodial cast have returned and worked as frontline workers while a majority of Third Shift was kept on layoff. Walt Disney's Parks and Resorts in Anaheim continued to inform SEIU-USWW that in the company's eyes they simply could not afford to call them back to return the work that Walt had helped define and create, and that the proud members of the third shift custodial after hours crews had done for decades. With several hundred cast members still on layoff, and with all remaining third shift custodial only now returning 15 months after the park closures in Anaheim, calling back all third shift custodial is seen as finally a step in the right direction. But still Day Custodial is being double worked with additional duties such as restroom deep cleaning and store restorative opening and closing procedures previously done by the proud third shift custodial, their job duties having been doubled and piled onto the job duties of Day Custodial cast.
These members of SEIU-USWW have continued to say enough is enough, and their feedback, their requests, and even their pleas to the company to help them with this issue have fallen on deaf ears from management and executives while injuries have continued to increase and morale has decreased to such low levels for these proud cast members who simply want what is fair as they work frontline everyday. Please join them whether as friends, family, loved ones, or even fellow members and cast members and sign this petition asking for what our fellow day custodial and third shift feel is fair, returning this work to the third shift crew that they are not only trained to do but have done so for decades so that day custodial is no longer being overworked. We will send this all the way up the ladder to Bob Chapek if that is what it takes.
Thank you all for your kindness.
Sincerely,
Rafael Rendon
