Replace Star Wars Episode IX's writing and directing team

This petition had 94 supporters

Episode IX is to be a deeply important movie. The creative team on Episode IX must be completely airtight.

After the release of the offensively awful "Book of Henry", as well as the, at best, critically divisive and at worst, decidedly average "Jurassic World", one thing has become abundantly clear.

Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connoly are not the writing/directing duo fit for this massive film.

Risks in assembling a creative team are what the Anthology films are for, and I'm sure many signing would be happy to see an Anthology film helmed by the duo. But not for Episode IX.

This petition is made to demonstrate to Lucasfilm and Disney that the fans are afraid to see this film go to the wrong hands. This petition does not specify a suggested director because we understand that Hollywood politics are difficult to negotiate and we recognize that the most important element of change is simply to remove Trevorrow and Connoly.

We urge you to please listen to the fears of the fans and to please demonstrate that you will go the extra mile to give us the reassurance we need that the film will be in safe, capable hands.
